Performance

One of the most stellar, audience-driven, flat out ROOF-RAISING performances on ZooTV ever. This was just a PHENOMENAL performance. I've always personally thought the Outside Broadcast was ZooTV's highlight, and this was it's kiss goodbye, before Bono would dream up MacPhisto, the band would work their asses off on the new material, and the tour would be very different on the returning legs, with a much different feel. This is pure ZooTV spirit, right here.

Sound

Utterly terrible. Occasionally, I had to check iTunes to see what song was playing. It's one of the biggest shames in the U2 Bootleg Archive, because this is one of the most fun shows I've ever listened to, and I would revisit it again and again if it were top notch sound. I would KILL for a 4-star recording of this show, but unfortunately, this sounds like a 4th generation cassette transfer that is sometimes outside of the stadium, and sometimes underwater.
Recording: Audience microphone - 3 stars

Audience

So loud sometimes, you can't even hear the band. But that's more of the sound's fault than it is the audience's. They were unbelievable.

Overall

I loved it SO much, it was SO worth the listen...but due to the terrible sound, I just can't rate this higher than 3.5. I know that I'll never return to this- BAR ULTRAVIOLET. This performance of UV- carried by the crowd and Bono hand in hand- was simply glorious. Van Dieman's Land was great too, but unfortunately barely audible in places. Still fantastic to hear Edge's voice. So pure, and so perfect in this concert.

Download it and give it a shot- you really don't have anything to lose. If sound quality is a HUGE deal to you, stay away. But I recommend giving it a chance to hear some of the party-licious beauty that the finale of this leg was. I'll be checking out the other nights in this Mexico City residency for sure.
