Performance

With all the fuss about the setlist, and what songs were omitted, I think the show flowed really well. I guess I seem to be in the minority, but I disagree with all the negative views on the song choices. Band was in good form. Although Bono on occasion sang some bits more gently than I have heard in the past, his voice seemed to be in fine shape. Blackout is a great opener. Other high points...Acrobat and, surprisingly for me, the two acoustic songs. I thought Gloria lacked oomph....SBS was just too damn slow. In the area of songs which I agree have been around too long, BD just sounded kinda boring. The other big three in this category were played the best out of the last three tours....those songs being Elevation, COBL, and Vertigo. They were played quite energetically. I disagree with previous complaints about Lights of Home.....I thought it sounded beautiful. Although I groaned when I saw that they were going to repeat the whole SOI sequence of songs, I actually kinda enjoyed seeing it again. Red Flag Day was great....I am also in disagreement about people not liking the encore. I am sick of One, but I also think they did it about as good as they have in a long time.....didn't drag...Bono sang most of it....the other two songs to end the show was a great end to the night. I have been singing LIBTAIIW all day today....Overall, I am thoroughly pleased that I heard 9(!) songs off of the new album last night. Much as I Love Streets, no Joshua Tree songs gave a new feel to this U2 show.

Crowd was just OK

Overall

Wish I was going tonight, too. Production values of the show were top notch, as usual. They still know how to put on a great show
