Performance notes: Before the show, the venue was evacuated due to a bomb threat. Thankfully, no bomb was found and the band were able to play a full concert. During the show, Bono made multiple jokes about the incident. This is the only full tour concert since 1987 to not feature Where The Streets Have No Name in the setlist.

Performance

Putting every ounce of passion into every note, beat and vocal, in a way only U2 can. Even without Streets (which is unimaginable for me), they still rocked the arena down and took everyone for a ride.

Sound

Not the best but still audible and clear for a 1989 recording.

Audience

As fiery, passionate and LOUD as the band themselves. Especially following the bomb scare, the energy is turned up to 1,000. It's Australians, so they're always a fun, great crowd for U2 to play to.

Overall

While I really wish I was at this show (I was only 2 years old by this time), it's a great, powerful and fun show to listen to. What could've gone down in tragedy turned into an epic night of great music. Some of the BEST performances of Hawkmoon, Desire, AATWT, AIWIY, Knockin' On Heaven's Door, Bad, WLCTT and 40 you'll hear. Plus with mocking references to the bomb scare all throughout, this is one of U2's most epic shows in their history. Of course, the inclusion of Streets would've tipped everything off the scale, but as it is, it still succeeds in ways that it cannot in U2's present tours.
