1. Here is the rectangular stage I was talking about.....

Only in Ziggo Dome Amsterdam the stage has a front end. In all other stadiums it is presented on venue maps as just a rectangle in the GA field with audience in seats all around (360 like).

My guess is that U2 will play on the rectangle stage moving back and forward and keep some of the 360 feel in this set up. This probably means that Ziggo in Amsterdam doesn't meet up the tour plans and that these shows will be slightly different.

    Wha are your thoughts?
I think you might be reading too much into it. The Ziggo Dome seatplan probably has a rectangular stage becuase they didn't care or just couldn't delete it from the usual seating plan, but it will have 100% the same stage as the rest of the European venues.

Exactly, in Ziggo people can't sit around the stage.
In all other venues they can mostly because they are sportvenues which Ziggo is not.

Ahoy (in the clip above) is a sport venue as well ...

Only makes me think more strongly that it will be a different set up. Or they will leave a whole side of the venue just a black wall?

That will happen in several places, don't be so surprised

In Barcelona, for example, there are simply no seats at all behind where the "normal stage" would be, top left of the image:

  5. Fair enough, still it will be different when there are no people on one side of the venue..
  6. Yes, absolutely. But I don't think the band has thought of this, it's just Livenation fucking it up as usual and choosing not-so-adecuate venues. Oh well.
  7. Think in the ziggo they will use the front end part of the stage for setting up gear, sound hut etc, something like that. But they have even horse shows there, where that front end is removed.
  8. Today it's just 123 days until the tour kicks out in Vancouver
  9. Man, the hype is getting too real!
  10. Still too long to start of the tour and more long to tour in europe...
