  1. Indoor tour will be enough for me, can't see much new things in a stadium tour
  2. Think that the fact that they did not have a chance to promote the album & tour in the US plays a big part as well. A week long residency at the Tonight Show could have generated lots of attention.

    Live Nation quash Quebec City rumour

    Yesterday, we reported a rumour that U2 would perform in Quebec City on 6 June. Live Nation, the promoters of the Innocence + Experience Tour, today announced that U2 will not be performing in Quebec City.

    In a somewhat surprising move, a press release was issued to deny the rumour. It is very short and straight to the point; you can read it here (in English and French).

    So if you live in Quebec and fancy seeing U2 in your province this year, you will need to attend the shows in Montreal.
  5. It didn't convince me at first... From the very beggining, they made very clear that they were hitting 19 cities plus Dublin. Announcing another city would have meant an implicit acknowledgment that ticket sales have been much (s)lower than they expected.

  7. There's rumours they're hitting Bluesfest, a big musical festival here in Ottawa around that time. The city organizers don't announce the lineup until close to the event, which might explain why U2 hasn't announced it if they are to play it.

    Doubt it though. Although last year we had the likes of The Killers and Lady Gaga, I still think U2 is too big to play a little festival like ours.

  12. No luck for the moment, this has been the craciest and dirtiest sale I've taken part of in my life... Ticketmaster associates and other ticket sale stores employees have got plenty (hundreds) of tickets a few minutes in advance to the general sale. Disgusting.




    Translation: El Corte Inglés (one of the biggest commercial chains in Spain, which has a ticket sale service of their own, independant from Ticketmaster) employees queing to get U2 tickets before doors were opened to the rest of us to buy tickets.
