    This show is special for many reasons, of which is that this is the first concert they ever played in Italy, despite extensive European touring in the past. The wait was definitely worth it as this is one of U2's best Unforgettable Fire shows. As one of our reviewers noted: "This show had it all". A good sound, impressive crowd and a great performance of the band. Also, this is the last live performance of Indian Summer Sky to date.

  2. Great choice! A lot of great performances in this show: Wire, TUF, Indian Summer Sky and what else can I say about Party Girl? Someone should document all the shows where that snippet was played, it changed a lot every night! If you're going to listen to this show, do yourself a favor and listen also to the next show: Bologna, "The Unforgettable Night". 2 of the best UF shows.

  5. A Sort of Homecoming isn't on the "Thank U Too For The Fire" boot leg. How come?
  6. Everything is in there. Make sure you download all parts before extracting. I put the files in 2 parts now instead of 3, but ASOH was always there.

    You're right, cause I got it now! I extracted the files separately rather than all together. Thanks cesar.

    7 songs of The Unforgettable Fire, as fa as I know this is the max of TUF songs in one show.

    My first bought boots where 2 cassettes, this show and Rotterdam 1987.

  12. Really like this idea of "bootleg-of-the-month." I didn't listen to this particular show for such a long time but it's great to revisit this one. But, you know me, I really like to listen to best recording in its most optimal form (usually this requires some eq'ing and volume adjustments from my part), but I still have a hard time figuring out which version to keep.
    In fact I've been trying to transfer a copy of the original vinyl Thank U too for the fire that I still have on audio cassette. To me it has much more warmth than the well-known cd edition and my copy of the cd also suffers from a thousand tiny mini-gaps. To be sure, this is the KOBRA issue (KRCD 31-2) - I personally like this original edition much better than the Godfather’s “Definitive” edition (G.R. 324/325).
    However, the vinyl copy has in fact way to much crackles and the fact that the cassette is over 25 years old doesn’t help either.
    Another thing is running speed. All editions seem to run a bit too fast and if the 4th of July intro is any indication, I’m proved to be right.
    In short: I’m still figuring things out (in fact I’m hoping to find the original flac’s of the KOBRA edition).
