EDIT: the new recording, however fair sounding, does have some pretty loud girls (and I don't mean singing...!)
  2. Oh c'mon...

5 minutes after I leave they're playing All I Want Is You... Really

No it was actually a bug, I fixed it thanks to your report! So this new bootleg is also partly thanks to you

Yes, and it's a bit too loud sometimes. But when not, it's amazing.
  4. Noooo way (the emo = meant to illustrate the jaw-drop )

It is indeed... I bet it has a lot to do with U2's amazing new sound system...

That poor girl singing on All I want hasn't got a note in her head
  6. good shows, but this whole 2 show experience is not worth it...yet. to see, if you are lucky, 4 different songs from night 1 to night 2 is just not what the band had portrayed when trying to promote this tour. Seriously I was at night 3(which is a night 1 show of back to back) and i believe the first 13 songs were exactly the same in the exact same order for night 4(night 2 of a back to back)? Sorry but that is just selling something under false pretenses to take our money and then they try to do as little as possible to get away with saying..."well it was a different show"... I'm sure (ok I hope) they will loosen things up now that they have had time to get the show into a rhythm. other wise I can't wait for the Los Angeles Bootleg of one major show of all the different songs that were played from the 5 concerts, cause it didn't happen live over the last 2 shows. there is no "playing around with the theme of innocence and...", there is no playing around at all. there is a standard concert with "insert exact same kind of song here on night 2" procedure to it all, very stale, very lazy...
  7. based on the NYT article I was definitely under the impression first set would be pretty stagnant and focus more heavily on SOI (which it is) and 2nd set would be much more mixed up (it isn't).

fortunately the show's production value has made me feel I've gotten my $ worth thus far after seeing forum 2+3 (LA 2+4 if we're counting roxy). imo, you also can't complain about EBW > BTBS - that is just a superb pairing / placement

only additional drawback was that forum3's swap songs in elevation and stuck were lame choices.

if I could have one wish for forum5 / LA6, based on this tour's setlists, it would be "in god's country". that is all
  8. And this is what the NYT article (April 29) said:
The initial idea was to work up two entirely different concerts, but U2 worried about leaving out staples or having fans think they’d gotten the second-best show. As of last week, it planned instead to have a relatively fixed first half and a varying second one - separated, for the first time on a U2 tour, by an intermission. The band is also planning to work the entire room. Running nearly the length of the coliseum floor was U2’s triple platform: a large rectangular stage (a strip of which could light up as “I” for Innocence), a smaller round stage (“e” for experience) and, between them, a walkway that’s wide enough to become a third stage, sometimes sandwiched between LED video screens.
I too believed that the first half would be set, and there would be much more variation than 2 songs per city in the second half. "Varying" is not a word I'd use for what we've heard so far.
  9. I'm loving the tour so far. The boys sound great. However (lol), the "variation is non existent IMO and that sucks for people going to multiple shows. 2-3 songs is not variation.
