Technically, both arguments are pretty obvious since no matter how many songs get swapped we will always want more variation.
well i think that you are definitely more annoying than people whining about setlist variation because you just sound like a blinded fanatic... everybody here loves U2 but i think it's healthier to want them to try new stuff and push their limits... whatever - to each his own you almost act like it's a sin to question U2...
  2. I think it's a sin to not appreciate what they do, but whatever. U2 is here to do your bidding after all.

To be critical is good, simply beause it is good to use ones own understanding.
To enjoy, instead of "to whine," is a choice and personally I think it's a very reasonable choice
because it's practical and because it is fun.

To find balance between the two is a challenge and something that probably needs adjusting all the time.

The crowd was so into it - Bono said the loudest he's ever heard, the band was relaxed and having fun and the setlist...

And it topped off an incredible run of good luck today - got a GA ticket in a 2 pm day of show ticket drop (!), was right at the second stage where all the fun happened and shook hands with Larry and Bono before the show to boot.

Great way to end my 4 show tour.

    WOUW...WOUW...WOUW...!!!

This just makes me smile & feel happy 2
It really sounds like old time rock 'n' roll - not too much thinking ahead and just go with the flow!

Heck no, Get On Your Boots was a crap song. Don't know why Breathe and No Line On the Horizon were dropped but that survived all the way to Moncton. I don't like everything the band's done, that's just asinine.

I think it's a greater sin to accept mediocrity instead of coloring outside the lines in a live setting. But you're the consumate fanboy/fangirl many memes are written for on varying daily topics. So I won't bother teaching an old dog new tricks. And I said "most" not "all". Learn how to read.

I'm listening to the POPmart rehearsals from Las Vegas and a lot of it is more interesting than what's happening on tour right now.

One more thing genius. Yes 3 hours; show scheduled was to start at 730p and go until 11p. Which died before opening night in Vancouver. I was there, we all heard about the 3 hour show plan, thus the long intermission between sets. Do your research next time.

  6. Hey ho

    Keep it nice evyerone please

  8. Waking up after my first live show this tour, this is my point of view:
I really hope they will stop teasing us with MOS and just play it in full sometime soon. I really love that song, might be their best of the last 15 years.

And I hope they will save Crystal Ballroom for a different place in the setlist and not play it during those two rotation spots. It deserves more than being in the same row of songs with Volcano, Lucifers Hands, Stuck and Elevation.

All by all I really enjoyed the show the first part is really good, altough the have more high tempo songs which could rotate at the start in the place of Vertigo and IWF. Iris and Cedarwood Road are great, but after that high they play SFS which doesn't do anything for me personally. The last three songs of the first part are just awesome, so is the building up.
Invisible, EBTTR and MW are alright, the rotation spots are cool but keep it for easy (Desire, AOH) or boring songs (Ordinary Love, Stuck) and give real suprises (Crystal Ballroom, or something else) a own spot because they deserve it. The encore is really weak, it doesn't work for me. Also the snippet of Mother and Child into Streets is not really working for me, it needs to flow from the song before that into Streets and doesn't need a speech in between.

yeah the encore is really weak, make it POP themed or include new songs, current one is boring as hell, The Troubles should close and a new song should segue into Streets, maybe Sleep Like a Baby?

Pop would be great but that's never gonna happen. COBL into Streets could work but my main problem is that Bono does a speech before Streets, imo it would work better if he did it after Streets (or not at all) SLABT wouldn't work live I think, however I would love it if they gave it a try.

The encore needs a big song to open, both UV and HMTMKMKM worked great there during 360.
  11. City Of Blinding Lights is too late in the show for me, needs to be earlier, maybe in place of EBTTRT?
