1. im not sure if this topic has been brought up recently , sorry if it has, just wondering on peoples thoughts on which song u2 has never played live that you would like to hear cheers everybody
  2. We still need 3 more from SOI, but if you mean like in "ever"... my first instinct would be to say "all of them!" but I'll limit myself to just 5 just 7, not including the remaining SOI3.

    1) Acrobat.
Best song in Achtung Baby for me. It sounds like it could sound great live too. No point in saying anything more about this one.

    2) Elvis Presley And America.
I really love this song (probably in my top 5 ever) and would love to listen it live, though I recon that chances are it wouldn't work live. Because how it was recorded and because the band is not too fond of playing atmospheric tracks like this.

    3) Promenade
Gorgeous song and I think it would work great live, and because of its length, it could even work almost as a snippet into or after several songs.

    4) Fez Being Born
Maybe the best track in No Line for me, and one of my favourites ever. As for them playing it live, I think it's between my thoughts on Acrobat and EPAA... it should sound great live, but the band doesn't play atmospherics anymore.

    5) Red Hill Mining Town
This song was destined to be one of their biggest hits and classic tunes ever, but in the end Bono realized he wouldn't be able to sing it live, so it wasn't released as a single and ended up becoming nothing. So, we already know that they couldn't play it, but it would've been amazing if they had gone there.

    6) Always
I do love Beautiful Day, but since the beginnng I thought the earlier version was even better. Or at least on par with it. This would work live, but it wouldn't make any sense play it, since either it would mean to replace a big hit with an unknown version of the same song or play both songs at the same show. Either way we're just dreaming in here.

    7) I'm Not Your Baby
It's also another atmospheric song, it requires female vocals, it's too long and it belongs to a different era, so no it wouldn't work live. Sadly.

Don't care much about Acrobat, sorry. Besides, even if they play it fans will just complain that Bono butchered it.
  8. I'd love to hear Acrobat. And The Playboy Mansion. I just love the laid backness of the latter.

I've always said this...there is no way they would be able to do the darkness and hauntingness of that song justice live. The album version is surreal...although I'd love to hear their live take on it, I doubt it would ever completely satisfy me.
