Tour: Innocence and Experience tour
Songs played: 28
Audio recordings: 4
  1. THE best show he's ever experienced?

I seem to be one of the few who liked Toronto 2 better than Toronto 1. For me it was a better crowd (or at least a better section) than last night but what I think the BIG difference was the flow. Bono stumbled a lot in his speeches and crowd interaction on Monday but was more succinct last night.

It was like a 6.5/7.0 for me, versus a 5.0/5.5 Monday night.

    just my $0.02

    Every time. Bar none.

  3. But he doesn't call them all "the best show that I've ever experienced", and his language suggests he was including every tour in that judgement as well. I call that delusional.

I don't know, I sort of disagree. Like I said earlier, I'm all for a little sloppiness, but U2 didn't really capitalize on it the way they could have. For instance, instead of trying something else when Edges guitar didn't work they just skipped ahead to Every Breaking Wave. They could've done something a little more obscure from the Edge on piano catalogue that included Adam and Larry. Or even later in the show before One they could've played Party Girl or something cool like that. It was sort of like a loose show where instead of accepting looseness making it a different type of show, they just tried to over correct and it was a bit lame.

Night 1 to me had a better crowd and a better set list. Plus the tribute band with Mark in it getting up there for Desire was fantastic. Plus, Bad. I had never heard Stuck live either and although I'm never one to be excited for that song, I enjoyed it a lot.

    Plus Out of Control.

No, he doesn't. I've seen all of his post-show chats so far and he's not once said a bad word about any show. He bigs up Vertigo, Pride, COBL etc so it was only a matter of time before he made such a statement. Shine Like Stars tipped him over the edge.

I like Tim, he's an intelligent fellow and he clearly does his research on certain themes. I just wish he had a more critical opinion on the band. It's also alarming to see the comments agreeing...

Something for everyone. Don't get me wrong... Bad =

They just lost me in parts is all, and that usually takes A LOT. All good though, even an average U2 show is better than anything you'll see from any other band on tour these days
  7. I don't do average. U2 shouldn't just be average.

Or they can call themselves the Average White Band (which is a real band by the way)
  8. Taste is the enemy of art

It definitely came across like that through the stream. Without the benefit (and bias) of being there, N1 was much better.
  10. a little off topic but... I'm listening to Popmart in Leed and... why the hell they don't play Gone? This song kick some serious ass, it's amazing, is pure rock n' roll

  11. Pick up the pieces...
