  6. Just because I'm avoiding doing housework, I did a little work on the Chi5 matrix just to smooth it out. Took out a lot of the close-up claps, tamed the sibilance, and bit of bass boost.

    That said, there's all sorts of no-no's with this one such as mp3 transcoding and remastering a completed mix.

    But it's more to illustrate my point that the post production is where this recording got botched. Even with a spit and polish it can be made a lot more listenable, even with all those "no-no's" of remastering.

  7. It sounds much more balanced, less harsh on the highs and overall quite better. I guess you won't do the whole show (or share it, if you complete it), but if you do feel free to share it - we'd be happy to dillute the pool a bit more with your "garbage mix".

  9. Well it's a garbage mix because it's mp3 transcoding. I can run off a full version pretty quickly if I have a flac copy.

  11. No rush! It's not particularly a huge priority.
  12. So if I remaster the Chicago 5 matrix...maybe that can count as the obligatory IEM matrix release for the tour...hmm...
