1. Come on, we have to celebrate this date guys
  2. The moment which defined U2 as a live act What a powerful song.
  3. Epic moment
  4. How about that magical performance of Pride, huh?
    Trolling level: epic
  5. I imagine what Pride would sound after this performance of Bad, after all that power, would be probably the best Pride ever
  6. It was 30 years ago today......
  7. I remember watching live... All day. Waiting for U2... Then a broadcast glitch, the only one that day... during their performance. Wanna talk about 10 seconds of teenage angst?

I'd love to see what those lucky ladies of Live Aid are up to today...
  8. In this kind of events everybody's always looking for something that breaks the mold, waiting that something, anything, happens; not necessarily greatness, but just something to happen, something to talk about (see Janet Jackson 2004), and U2 was that something that day.

Everyone else just went out there and played, maybe they played better than U2 but if you were asked "what has happened?" you would answer "x and y and z played, oh! and Bono from U2 got off the stage and went to the audience and got some chicks to dance and it was great!"

Bono stole the show, and that song was not even a single.

they stole the show at us festival too... both in the days before shit went viral on the worldwide web!
  10. ...U2 was great...fantastic...perhaps one of their finest moments at that time... but there was only ONE band that BLEW everybody AWAY... NEED I say more? I got one word for you...

    Q U E E N

I always think that when watching Live Aid (or US festival or Red Rocks, for that matter)... Will these girls remember 30 years on that they once danced onstage with Bono in front of thousands of people (and millions through TV and videos)?
  12. Let's put it this way:
    U2 was innocence
    Queen was experience
