Joshua Tree Tour 2017
Legs (3): Leg 1 - North America, Leg 2 - Europe, Leg 3 - The Americas
Shows: 52
  1. London must be the stadium with the most non-for-sale seats I've seen in a long time.

  2. It's kind of cool that they're sacrificing that many seat sales for the sake of possibly re-creating the vibe of the shows from 1987 (stage facing one side, smaller, intimate shows (at least on the first leg of the JT tour) etc.

Not sure if that's the reason, but it's nice to think that way
  4. No different than 2005 it seems. Only difference is that Twickenham is a little bit bigger since they built the stand at the back.

  5. Seat plan makes it worse I think. Here's Barcelona 2005. Plenty of unusable seats.
  6. Yes, I was thinking of 2005. Hence the "long time" lol
  7. 360 ruined all future stadium gigs.
  8. Yes, they definitely are fighting against themselves here. Even if they want a more stripped approach (stage-wise), the simple fact that 360 was, well, 360º just wins hands down against any other setup.
  9. I know

And it's true, 360 was the apex of a stadium gig.

  10. One of my favourite U2 moments, was when I discovered that the 'rotating woman' image, stood as symbolism for ejaculation.
  11. What's stopping them just having a massive square/ rectangular stage right in the middle of the pitch? It doesn't have to be on the scale of 360, and why was 360 stage never quite central but always at an end of the pitch?
