  1. On one hand I am thrilled at the prospect of hearing U2 perform JT in something close to its entirety.

    On the other hand I think this puts the band squarely in the territory of being a heritage act -which I always hoped/believed was a trap they wouldn't fall into.

    I really hope the focus of any tour announcement is on SOE.

    my thoughts too tbh. if it's just 1-3 shows, maybe for the purpose of also shooting a dvd, fine. but a whole mini tour? doesn't sound like them.

    however, if it happens to be a JT tour of sorts, I'll try to be there anyway, cos it's u2, so whatever.
  5. Hard to tell how they would do it, if the dates being thrown out there are true. Bonnaroo is June 8 and rumored Rose Bowl show is May 20 so it will be curious to see the logistics on this. And if this is true, where does that put SOE? Fall of 2017. They sure like to leave us guessing!

  7. I sure hope not. I liked the idea of your announcement/single then JT shows in March, drop the album and tour.
  8. JT shows in Spring/Summer. Return to ie in North America in the autumn (That leaked Columbus, OH Facebook date)?

    A joshua tree tour from May-September. With SOE released after that around October, with SOE tour starting next year
  10. All I can think of is, poor Australians or South Americans, waiting for the #U2ieTour for so long yet to see another North America & Europe leg being pushed up in the agenda.

    only thing that bothers me with this theory is that the album is apparently done since november. I can't see them sit on it for another year? you'd think they'd be itching to get it out there.

    You would think that, but the album could be in the mixing process as we speak. Unfortunately Chris Evans stating the record was "finished" could mean a number of things.

    Adam said they were targeting a March-April release for SOE, forward that on a few months later and it wouldn't appear that bad.
