Joshua Tree Tour 2017
Legs (3): Leg 1 - North America, Leg 2 - Europe, Leg 3 - The Americas
Shows: 52
  1. Can somebody please explain to me where or when the whole concept of a cohesive 'Innocence & Experience' tour went all pearshaped ?

There wasn't supposed to be such a huge gap between albums and between the Innocence tour- legs and the second group of experience tour-legs, was there?

Their plan was to release SOE right after the end of the first IE legs and then tour with it for a second round of the tour...

...it all went south when they realized they had to re-arrange the album for the 8345th time
  3. Either way it has got us talking. I'm not big on the JT idea. The U2 of old would not have been performing shows to fulfill contractual obligations. I've always continued to support the band because they have only ever toured new material.

We shall find out soon enough.

I think it came already into their minds in 2010 when the start imagining about a Songs Of Ascent release. U2 is getting slower with finishing albums. That is the problem.
  5. so what are the chances of a leak before january 9th?

Realistically... Any other scenario than the big four is quite probably a pipe dream I'd love to be proven wrong but I'm puting my fiver on the big 4 being staples and then 2 more from the following list being rotational: One Tree Hill, In God's Country, Spanish Eyes, Mothers, Sweetest Thing and Running (these two are possibly the most plausible to be staples too).
  7. They will be playing Silver And Gold. Bono can still sing that song.

    ^this.
  9. OTH and RTSS would be amazing

  10. I agree. But Do You Feel Loved, Please, If God Will Send His Angels (full band version) would be amazing too.
