Taking the lightrail to the show, I decided not to risk bringing my nice camera (and I was downtown by 2pm or so).

My brother and I were in 119 (iPhone photo attached). Scaffolding blocked much of the opening act and the sound was a bit "bled" from where we were sitting, but they figured it out by the main set.

Tremendous show - glad the rain held off. Loved seeing Eddie on MotD. Loved fighting for a spot on the light rail south after the show.

All in all, a fantastic evening!
Not a bad view at all. Actually the height of your seats allowed you to see the skycrappers behind the stage and that makes for a very special view. Sorry you didn't risk your bridge camera though, it would hav emade great pics from your seat. Anyway, glad you enjoyed the show so much!
  2. Thanks! Yeah, I wish I'd brought it - the way security was, I'm sure that I could have talked my way in with it. Would have gotten some good zooms.

Ah well - maybe they'll come to Denver post-Europe and I can try again.

For those not familiar with Seattle history, the building at the right of the photo is the Smith Tower - which at one point (until 1931) was the tallest building west of the Mississippi River:

  3. I'm glad Bono got rid of the "Power of the people" thingy before One.
  4. Well done u2 . Delivered a beauty of a show last night.
  5. Man, Bono looks really tired and/or in rough shape. It's almost upsetting to see.

I can't wait for Boston, but it's sad to see him like this. I wonder what's up. It looks like the energy is fading fast.

  6. Show was miles better than Vancouver, band was really intense and into it. Joshua Tree is getting better and better, that whole range of songs is just extraordinary. Centerpiece and highlight of the show. Exit, but also Red Hill Mining Town is really becoming a favourite of mine. And any show with Bad is good anyway.

Many photos to come later today, sneak peak!
