Whatever the reason behind it I dunno but what I saw this weekend in Amsterdam (and especially last night) was incredible.
Maybe some parts of the shows on a dvd later this year. Or the whole show. Instead of Paris or USA. And...this evening on dutch tv, rtl boulevard, radio 2 dj Ruud de Wild spoke with U2 saturdayafternoon in the Arena. Listensession from the new album. He liked it a lot. Best he ever listened to. It surprised me. It must be a hell of an album. And he's a fan. So that means it's finished.
  2. I think I mentioned it in some of our chats but... Yesterday was clearly one of these brilliant hungover shows.

  3. Grazie pavarotti
  4. I said the same on the way to the stadium. Hopefully the band went on the piss the night before.

Cheap seats were amazing btw. Could see Bono backstage high fiving crew members, Adam and edge getting their guitars in while Larry walked out. Bono going back to get his hat for Exit. Really cool to see all that for the cheapest seat in the house.
  5. U2 have always been at their best when they can ad-lib and be spontaneous, it's certainly in Bono's DNA to do that.
This modern era / live nation / choreography type tour is at a serious juxtaposition as to where this band came from and became famous and brilliant at . I think that is the modern day crux of the issue .

    Nice!

  7. I saw both Rome, Barcelona, Dublin and both Amsterdam shows and it was definitely the best one of the six I saw
  8. Paris 2 was very good . Up there with the Dam 2

When you are at the show it's hard to not think that everything is okay with Bono. I've gone to two shows so far this tour and both times I can just feel and see the energy. I think when we listen to the show on mixlr or see a video later it doesn't do the band/Bono justice maybe giving us this view of something being wrong.

    I've seen Berlin, Rome 1 and 2, Paris 1 and Amsterdam 1 and 2.
Amsterdam 2 the best show, maybe Brussels will beat Amsterdam 2
