1. I think it's okay, nothing special but I don't get the cutting and don't get it. Sounds like they weren't ready and got some last minute mixing done.
  2. hopefully digital preorders get Blackout now too
  3. Edge's guitar during refrain is almost the same as in 'Crazy Tonight'.
  4. Don't say to much negative. The 45 post Rockstar might get offended.
  5. I have a couple of friends who love the remix they heard last summer and they don't even really like u2 other stuff so I think it will do great mainstream.

    Age range?
  7. yeah, I'm surprised to see so many negative comments. Just as everywhere, being negative is probably the best way to show your 'expertise'. Well, I guess I'm a fool because I really like it, certainly as a first single.
  8. Really, really like the song. It's got all the hooks and twists and still manages to sound coherent. Easily the best (pun intended) and radio friendly single in many years. This in combination with "Blackout" and "The little things" has got my pulse running high for the upcoming album release.
  9. Yeah... remember when Bono used to speak of 'the song' and also use the line 'this is a song' on TUF tour...? Well there is a first class U2 song here - its just largely buried away underneath needless over-production and quirky disjointedness. Hopefully live performances of it will remove the disjointedness and fx.
