3 producers for one song. Is that a lot? No idea.

-I love the song. LOVE the song, but not the arrangement or the mix. Love the melodies, the groove, all of it. I think Kygo's version (hides from the flames of U2start) that had the "bridge" part in the chorus was a better arrangement and Edge doing his signature chimey riffage doesn't necessarily work here. It sounds pretty, but it messes with the groove. In fact, the groove is basically lost as the song goes into the chorus entirely.
-I think the strings or horns or whatever in the first part of the chorus are cheesy as fuck, it brings this tune into Tom Jones territory and it shouldn't be going anywhere NEAR there. Whoever thought that was a good idea in the mixing process should be fired.
-As others have said, it does sound very copy+pasted. The first verse builds really well, and going into the chorus it sounds like a totally different mix of the same song. The vocals sound like they were recorded on a different mic, the groove is lost in favor of building up the second part of the chorus (there are other ways to do that - see the dreaded Kygo version as an example), and it all very much sounds like a demo for a song that needs to be re-recorded. That instagram thing about a last minute mix that we thought might've been fake definitely seems real at this point.
To sum it up - again, I love the song, just not the arrangement or the mix. I hope we either get an updated mix on the album that sounds more polished, even if the arrangement stays the same, it would be nice if the verse and chorus sounded like they were recorded in the same studio - OR we start seeing some remixes. Someone else pointed out that the William Orbit remix is most (if not all) people's preference when it comes to Electrical Storm, and if this is the final mix the band is putting out - I wouldn't be surprised if we see a similar outcome here. For all people's bashing about The Blackout and how it sounds through that facebook video - it sounds a whole lot more cohesive than this song does.

It's like having a crap dog. It might still shit on the floor and not do any cool tricks but you still love it unconditionally.
