1. gonna give my first listen now...
  2. Not a bad little song this

The more I listen to it, the more I agree...

...that is, regarding the "album version." The Sci-fi soul Mix sounds smoother, although the drums and buildup to the chorus lack something for me...can anybody else who prefers the Sci fi mix explain why they like it better than the album version? I'm kind of catching up on some of the discussion. Thanks!
  4. Loving this track! I think people will continuously discuss whether this or The Blackout deserves to be the lead single, but I will say the three songs we've gotten so far have done a good job of whetting my appetite for this album.

It's just a more cohesive mix, it doesn't sound like a demo, like a cut and paste job. It also has a bit more personality IMO with the synths.
  6. Where are people getting the remix?
  7. When do you think we'll get the video shot in Amsterdam?
  8. Maybe when this supposed "album version" is finished

For those who aren't up to speed, currently there are POSSIBLY four versions of the song:

-Single/"Album" Mix that's being played today everywhere - and in the lyric video
    -Sci-Fi Soul Mix
-Kygo Remix (never really released, only the videos we've seen)
-A more complete arrangement that Edge mentioned in an interview this morning that may or may not exist, and/or may or may not refer to the Sci-Fi Soul Mix

You can listen to the only two released official versions here: http://playiga.com/track/u2-youre-the-best-thing-about-me-2/
  9. I'm so glad I'm not a musical expert like so many people on these forums who overanalyze every U2 song. Talking about the bridge and chorus and mixes and cheesy lyrics and being over produced.

I love it. Very catchy song. It brings joy to my day. That's how i judge it by. Easily their best single release since Beautiful Day. It's a better pick for their first single than Blackout for sure.
