1. sadly you're probably right...
Btw. I'm almost sure the biggest scalpers now are Ticketmaster employees - just took the tickets and put them to scam sites before presale even started

I know you want to make good use of TM option for relisting tickets, but I hope you can also understand that many of us think that exactly this option is one of the main reasons why we're currently in such a mess with the presales.

The thought is this: TM will take a percentage (I believe a 10% commission) for each transaction on their secondary market (seatwave, stubhub, getmein, etc). Purely from a business point of view it seems to be in their interest to have as many sales as possible on their secondary markets.

And guess what? After two days of U2 "presale" there are more U2 tickets than ever on these secondary markets...

PLEASE think about this and if you do have spares, please offer them via our 2018-06-09 Uniondale NY <<ticket>> section.

    Thanks!

Thanks, BigGirl, I appreciate the heads up there. To be honest they are just two tickets for Section 111 Row 3 at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, Long Island. The view is okay but opted for these over the "behind the stage" tickets that were available for the show at Madison Square Garden.

I had behind the stage at MSG for I&E and they weren’t that bad.

Well, I think that could be still great for anyone looking to attend. But how are these tickets transferable? Are these hard copy tickets?
  5. I can already see vast amounts of tickets on re seller sites for crazy money....
  6. wow.
This feels like a slap in the face.

I can understand that having a pre-sale code does not guarantee you a ticket. But now the pre-sale codes in itself are not a guarantee anymore?
And on a second note: how is it decided who will get a pre-sale code and who not? What are the criteria? Very worrying development.

This is not the way to treat long lasting fans who over the years have (ok now I generalise) spent thousands of dollars/euros to see and enjoy their favorite band.
  7. honestly i think that live nation, ticketmaster, u2.com ,fanfire.com are making disasters at the time and the target is/was to fight the secondary ticketing, to give chances to fans, to make everybody happy with gifts. And we talk about a joy, a music concert not to go on war, really disappointed. Never happened such a trouble since 2004 with u2.com and the vertigo tour, 360degrees tour, JTT . Am i wrong or am i right?.

Still, there should be more in general onsale.

it happened before on previous tours, they just have a small percentage of tickets available for presale. As an innocence member there's always the chance you might not get what you want. And sometimes you just have to keep trying, that's how I finally got Amsterdam GA's in the Innocence group last tour.
  9. so, how many u2.com members have been exluded from the presales, and is it pure lottery or could there be something more to it?
  10. This is what happens when you trust a computer generated algorithm to to decide. IMHO there is only 1 way to deter (I say deter because scalpers will always find a way... and in this instance I'd be curious on how many resellers here are the fans)
I digress. Want to make sure fans are getting tickets? Go back to selling hard tickets at localized, cash only outlets. Fans will be the ones that make the effort to go line up and wait to purchase their tickets.

I heard about 2.5K fans being excluded. No idea about the lotto or criteria.
