u2 a mainstream band or a real rock band?
Why the Boss always changes or Pearl Jam?
and so may awards like a boyband? U2 like an adult boyband?
They have so many songs to play instead bd vertigo and elevation or the historical sunday and pride ,or not?
Sorry Ferrari but if you like everything they play ok, my opinion it's different.
And now i complain and i am really disappointed.
Hope it will be my mistake and Soe will be a fantastic album and the tour amazing, that's my dream about my favorite band of last 37 years.

ps maybe all the show of london it's great for young people but not for an old fan like me
pps and david guetta on stage, editing music oh no please!!!!!!
I think you did understand my reaction wrong. I totally agree with you speaking about u2 setlists. The thing I want to say is, do not expect anything from U2 concert when listening at home, you will dissapointed again and again. Every word is a waste of time. (Being there is something different).
U2 still my favorite band in terms of records made, but as collector of live recordings and speaking in terms of a live act, Springsteen is my nr1 for years.

listening at home? i was not in London Trafalgar square, but i was in every tour since 1987 , many italian dates. But the last tour was a little bit the same in every night.
First 4 songs, than 11 songs from JT e elevation, bd ,vertigo that means 18 songs , only at the end changed something. But i don't wanna to discuss. The SOE tour was amazing . I expect in stadiums, arenas or at home almost 4 or 5 different songs every concert. Are they too many? I love them ,like radiohead, boss, pearl jam and many others live. I think u2 are in the last time too boring, that's all. Ciao Ferrari, by from a Porsche fan hahahahahaha
  3. im not complaning about the gig i just mean in general

lol since 1987? So you forgot Zoo TV or Popmart? Amazing tours but with less changes than last tours. But there was almost no internet, you didn't know setlists and couldn't listen to mixlrs or periscopes. if it was, you would complain Popmart and Zoo TV more than this
  7. I don't think people should take this gig TOO serious. It was a bit of fun on a cold Trafalgar Square for MTV.
U2's main interest was the video shoot for Get Out Of Your Own Way. I don't think it was very realistic to expect U2
to play some obscure, or yet unknown album tracks.

And I know the complaining will go on and on about playing the notorious "five" - One, Pride, Vertigo, Beautiful Day,
Elevation - but these songs will just remain. Also in the eXPERIENCE leg.

And I'm not saying that one should simply "accept this," all I'm saying is that this will be a given and that you can
either embrace it, or remain to feel grumpy about.

As Bono quoted Oscar Wilde in the Ruud de Wild interview (Sao Paulo, Oct. 2017): "We all lie down the gutter,
but some of us look up to see the stars." (or something like that!)

I choose to embrace the notorious five. To look up to the stars and count my blessings.

And last, but not least, I even admit that Get Out Of Your Own Way is "growing" on me - but I still like it best when
    it segues into American Soul

PS: pretty sure though that Get Out Of Your Own Way will not join the notorious five

    Spoiler (click to toggle)

    Free
    Unexpected bonus gig
    Unique place
    Sadiq Khan appearance
2nd on bill to a DJ
    Freezing cold
Wearing gloves to a U2 gig
    Adam's coat
A bloody big Lion next to Edge
A bloody big Lion next to Adam
    Re-appearance of the Megaphone
    Unexpected poetry
    Bono stumbling over words
    Sunday Bloody Sunday soundcheck @station
GOOYOW twice...& might be ok (!)
    YTBTAM sounded quite good
David Guetta getting the crowd going more than U2!
  10. I loved your review(s)

Very happy to hear you enjoyed yourself so much - I mean, that's the kind of review that make me say, "Damn, I wished I could have been there too!"
