Please woild fit perfectly in that spot.
I agree I wanted please in the setlist badly if they wanted to play best thing they should have just played electric though

I think the opposite best thing is perfect there. It changes the mood again after a very heavy acrobat, great contrast. Don’t get me wrong please would be great but it’s a completely different mood song wise and best thing is there big single from the album.
Agree, nice little light hearted acoustic set

I also liked it that way in there.
It fits right, it's a break to process what you just saw.
  4. I was referring to LikeaSong's comment so I meant the original macphisto accent... which is a posh english accent I guess? Not Bono's accent (93 or now)

Yes! The video was really cool! I wish they were performing the song though but the comic strip is on point. Remix is meh.

I get the thinking behind the complete change of pace following Acrobat with an acoustic number, but that version of YTBT is just so underwhelming,

It’s a divisive one by the looks of it. The funny thing is I wasn’t a huge fan of acoustic best thing when it came out but something about it seemed to work for me last night. Something I did notice watching back on YouTube and it puzzles me but also pains me to say it, bono struggled a bit vocally with lights of Home, particularly the pre chorus ‘hey, I’ve been waiting to get home a long time’ on both occasions. It puzzles me because he sounded great on the bbc version. It’s my 2nd favourite on SOE so I defintely don’t want it dropped and it was still passable last night but I don’t know why it wasn’t as smooth vocally, maybe bono was doing a lot more moving etc for the first few songs and struggling a bit for breath compared to bbc.
  9. Love the MacPhisto thingie and segue into Acrobat, but Acrobat itself is not quite there yet (at 95% - still very good, keep it in the set!)
  10. Still no bootleg? I'm leaving this site
  11. i like YTBTAM acoustic, better than every breaking wave piano version
