Tour: Experience and Innocence tour
Songs played: 26
Audio recordings: 1
Videos: 1
  1. Listened to most of the show last night...gave up at 3.20am with GOOYOW.
This was my first show from the beginning, since I am trying to avoid stuff while waiting for Europe.

    IMHO...
Electric Co. was really great but as far as SOE is concerned Little Things really should be in there... GOOYOW is not great and even Blackout did not do much for me.
The whole thing seems a bit lop-sided & they are missing much of the great stuff from SOE as well as classics...like Streets.

This is just the warm up luckily !

What do you mean warm-up? With any U2 tour they tend to cut songs from the album being toured as the it moves along
  3. Yep...just that hey seem to be dropping the good stuff.

Warm-up gigs for Europe of course ! (and beyond ? ...Poor Oz & NZ)

Blackout is actually a real good opener after "LIAWHL," especially the visuals. I'm pretty sure they're keeping that....
  5. One thing I noticed as a drummer myself, Larry was hitting harder than usual. He was on point yesterday except for a stick drop during LOH , in which he never missed a beat. He was particularly smashing on Electric Co.
  6. Out of all your comments about the show MoFoNYR15 I was most pleased to see you thought LOH was strong. As I mentioned last night the particular version they’re playing has grown on me with every listen and it’s great to hear it’s sounding great to people who have actually attended already. It’s going to be one of the highlights for me.

You know I was very disappointed with the version they chose to play and the placement. But it’s really strong when you’re there. Plus again, with everyone phones lighting up the arena , it just works. I’m def looking forward to msg. I am hoping for at least 2 diff songs though. Any songs.

Well I’m glad the overall experience was a positive one and that it’s got you looking forward to more. I think there’s a good chance you’ll get one different song from what you saw last night as electric co could turn out to be a one off. One from Gloria/RFD/ABOY seems likely. I’d be surprised if you got 2 different songs but you never know, maybe the Apollo gig will give them some new ideas.

Bad should without question be played (along with NYD) each and every night over the tired and played out Elevation . If Vertigo needs to be played I feel it would work better in set 1 , as it did in 2015 .
Desire I thought would be better . A shame Wild Horses is gone .
Acrobat was my highlight along with Electric Co and IMO Exit would work great right after Acrobat with Bono staying in character.
I understand why the band aren’t playing JT , but WOWY would be great ending the show , if not play All I Want Is You .
Overall very good show , but if the band aren’t going to play JT , (and they aren’t) then some other classic tunes like Bad NYD Gloria and All I Want Is You need to be in there . Every night .
The crowd was literally stunned when the show ended after 13 . I have been attending shows since 1981 when I saw the Ramones , and I don’t remember ever seeing a reaction quite like that , of stunned disbelief , that the show was indeed over .
    7/10

Great read, thanks for that! Loved your suggestion about adding Exit, its not as if that's a song they'd have seen as overplayed. I wouldn't mind SFS as an acoustic if they'd go back to the full band SBS - I never liked this low tempo version.

I must be the only one who liked 13 as the closer - fit with the whole theme of the show. Maybe it was more obvious in Montreal as he told the crowd he'd send us home with a lullaby (or something like that).

I think maybe for people like us who follow the tour, both the I & E and this one... appreciate 13 as a closer (maybe not all of us)....

I loved it, does it blow the roof off like Walk On did, 40, or some of their more wider reaching songs did.... no... but I love the throw back to the beginning of the I&E show and it also reminds me of the somber tone that Zoo Tv had with Love is Blindless
  11. Not sure if i should have started a separate post for this one...

I went to the concert Saturday nigh at Nassau Coliseum. I recorded a few songs and would like to create a multi cam edit for a couple songs. If anyone has a video or audio recording they would like to share please let me know. Thank you!
