In fairness I’d take a Sil mixlr over nothing so it was meant in good humour, I’ve never contributed a mixlr or periscope stream so I can’t complain can I. You’re right though it will be a bit poor if it’s the likely bunch who are in attendance but hopefully there’s far more fans who have just been lucky and legitimately won a ticket.

I'd say there were a lot less tickets won by fans than there will be VIP guest list. Conservatively, my bet would be 80/20 in favor of VIP.
I sometimes wonder if the usual suspects are actually unofficially on U2 staff. Other than being ridiculously independently wealthy, that would be another rational explanation of how they can spend their lives on tour with them...

That would be a disappointing ratio I hope if that’s the case then the vip fans are there because they love the band and they aren’t just there because it’s a cool thing to go to.

I just skip the part of wondering if they are or not and just look at them as if they were, it saves me from feeling upset every now and then.
I don't get upset for their friends and family being there, so I just accept that they're part of their inner circle and that's it.
(now that I think about it, if they looked that I was angry and replied with a "deal with it" meme, THIS is how I deal with it...)
We have U2 fan Kristen today on site in New York to cover some of what’s going down at The Apollo today. Our Instagram stories is where the updates are, including a performance of her singing and playing Little Things on piano! https://t.co/jML6XJhdMJ #U2eiTour #u2Apollo pic.twitter.com/S7dRK60MaA
