  1. No one cares about DVD's anymore? It's all about streaming.
  2. They would have stopped making them if they weren’t not just the band but all DVD’s. There are u2 fans and collectors all over the world I don’t think they will even need to consider whether or not releasing the dvd will be profitable it’s just a given. Same reason they still release cd’s and vinyl and don’t just do digital only album releases.

I would be happy with that but from a business point of view it would make more sense for them to continue to commercially release the DVD’s and offer something different for the fanclub allowing them to make money separately of both. If they don’t give us a cd version of the Berlin show with a deluxe option of the dvd (which they never do) then I wouldn’t mind that being the subscription gift. Even though it would still be related to the most recent gift there wouldn’t be that many songs included on both just the SOE ones and none of the performances were from the Berlin show. Doubt they’ll do that though.
  5. I still hope that them release, because many fans have yours DVD´s and BluRays and never any streaming will substitute this. The pleasure in have the gift in your hands and playing in any time is incomparable. I think that is a wave, and in some moment the DVD´s and BluRay come back like a LP´s return. Only to collectors and more expensives.
  6. I collect Dvds and Cds, I like to have something solid in my hand (oo err missus ) Look through them and decide which concert I fancy watching, Sooner E&I and JT Dvds come out the better!

    As you might expect, there will be a longer version of Spirits In The Forest, which, though I understand, does not cover the concert film separately, but a 30-minute version of the film. Either way, every single double gig certainly won't fit in the 120 minutes ...

    We will wait min. until next summer or autumn to the JT2017 DVD...

    Fan stories are a bore most just wanna see the band performing, if they wanna put them in the extras or on their website that's fine but as a main feature it's a big turn off.
