I really think that’s a massive exaggeration to suggest so few people see multiple nights. U2 have thousands of fans who at the very least would want to attend multiple nights in there nearest city.

5% of 20.000 is still 1.000 people in every city that see multiple shows. I don't have the actual numbers, it's probably a bit more, but I don't think 5% is that far of..

But still to play a total of 92 songs accross 4 nights and only play 24 different songs is quite poor

Extremely poor, even by their standard. Would it kill to play SATS one night? Desire? Gloria? Electric co? These aren’t even that drastic. All played. I’ve tried to stay silent during the Europe tour. I hope everyone is enjoying these shows but I mean cmon. It’d be better to not even know the few interesting songs they rehearsed. Anyone aware of the extent they rehearsed them had to be slightly disappointed when none showed up during a 4 night stand. Anyway.... I hope everyone IS having a blast at these shows.

Most people only attend 1 show...I really don't get all the whinging on this subject

Even though I’ve questioned the extent of the figures I would accept that all shows feature a majority of one time only attendees, not as big a majority as some suggest but a majority. However, if the band were to rotate you are going to hear very little or practically no complaints about the band rotating too much, the one time only attendees are none the wiser and the regular attendees get to see something different. On the other hand when they don’t rotate songs it’s inevitable that they will receive more complaints from the people who attend multiple shows. The band can’t cater to only the multiple show attendees but by having 3-4 rotation slots they would really do themselves a lot of favours in quieting down a bit of the criticism. Anyway I think it’s worth seeing it from both sides, I like the Setlist and I’ll enjoy seeing them twice even if they play the same Setlist or only change a song but I would say I’d enjoy the overall experience more if they were to have a couple more rotation slots and I got to hear more songs over the 2 nights, I don’t think that’s an unreasonable view.
