The Fly (Elevation version)? I hope so
  2. I gotta be honest, I’m annoyed at these late changes. I’m glad fir everyone going forward but really sucks for the rest of the tour. Almost feels like the start of the tour was rushed and they fell back on that innocence block.

    makes you wonder tbh
  4. I would say these sudden inclusions show if anything the band could have put these in the set early on in the tour if they wanted to so it’s nothing to do with a lack of preparation or work I’d suggest. I think it is just a case of the band having a rethink. They probably fully believed in the Setlist they played for most of the tour and at the time thought that was the best way to go but things change, they could have got fed up of playing certain songs or excited at the idea of introducing new ones or both. Look at Wild horses appearing at Tulsa, they didn’t take that out the Setlist after that for no reason I’m sure it’s absence was because the band didn’t think it fit the shows and maybe now they’re suddenly just a bit more open to the idea of being loose with the Setlist and the theme.

You’re probably spot on with this.i get the impression they were keen to continue ‘selling’ the SOI songs being as the 2 albums are so closely linked. They want to believe that SOI/SOE is their best work.

Wild Horses was being rehearsed even before Laval so it shows they wanted to put it in somewhere but until they were able to reframe the narrative part - the bands gaining experience over the more personal Bono’s loss of innocence bit they didn’t know what to do with it. Now that section has been retooled it’s clear that there are now a few more songs they can play in this part to keep it interesting and keep the energy up.
  10. Wild Horses was really flat in Tulsa, that's probably why it was dropped. Now that the band is clearly at the top of the game, they felt they can go ahead with other plans. And wild Horses is sounding great, as an example.
