One concept I thought up was a "Stories for Boys Tour" that chronicles the journey from Boy to Experience without it being a greatest hits tour. With 14 albums and a typical set list of around 22-24 songs you could throw in the likes of Pride and Streets, but also go for The Unforgettable Fire and Exit. It would also allow albums like Pop and NLOTH to make an appearance. I see this being more suited to an arena tour; but that's because I like to 'dream out loud'

November-December is not as hot & humid as January-March, which can get scorching hot , particularly in western Sydney, away from the ocean breeze. Though the city & most tourist sites are in eastern Sydney, closer to the coast (where temperatures can be 5-10C cooler in the height of summer than in the west).

Homebush, home of the Olympic (ANZ) stadium & Qudos Bank arena, is in (geographical) Central/western Sydney. It can get baking hot in the height of summer. But should be pleasant in mid-November.

Though both of Sydney's major stadiums (ANZ & Allianz) are up for renovation/demolition by November 2019. So I have no idea where U2 would play a stadium show. Probably the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), which is on the eastern side of the city. So would be much more convenient for tourists!

There's also not as much rain in November-December, as in January-March. Rain is higher in the first half of the year. Sydney actually has a very high annual rainfall of 1,200mm (47 inches). Would you believe that is double what London receives, & substantially more than Seattle's annual rainfall! But much of this rain falls in heavy downpours in late afternoon summer storms, after hot humid days, a welcome relief!

FYI, the Sydney 2000 Olympics was held in September, so early spring. Temperatures can still be quite cool, but rainfall is at its lowest at this time of the year.

If you're keen for a dip in the ocean, early November ocean temperatures can still be a little cool, just below 20C (68C). But by mid-November-December it's very pleasant, peaking in February at 23C (74F).

A transatlantic flight will be one hell of a long flight! I'd say it'll be shoulder season in November, so not too bad. Cheaper than late December-January, which is summer holiday time. I fly out of Sydney in late Oct-early Nov each year, when prices & demand are low.

Do it! A great city to visit, a great time of the year to visit that city, & see a concert. And not just any concert, but a U2 show! A couple of U2 shows in this beautiful city no doubt.
