Joshua Tree Tour 2019
Legs (1): New Zealand, Australia and Asia
Shows: 15
  1. New Jersey*

  2. I noticed that also but considering how tiresome the debate had already got thought it was best to leave that out lol.

  3. It's just a joke. Yes, it is in New Jersey but it's only 40 minutes by train from NYC.
  4. This whole threads turned into a joke and I’m as much (if not more) to blame as anyone lol. Someone please put me out of my misery and get this thread back on track again, (the previous attempts haven’t gone unnoticed)
  5. Back on topic...only 15 sleeps to go!

Whilst I’m sure there are a lot of facts in the book if there is something stated in it that goes against the official reason the gig was cancelled without proof then it is a theory. I’ll still chose to believe the screen issues were the problem which is the only reason that makes sense to me despite the reasons that have been suggested on here.

For the record, I'm on your side. I legitimately thought it was because of ticket sales for the longest time!
  8. Or close the top tier, moving everybody to the lower tier. Still gives people to have opportunity to have a front on view, just a bit closer than their original seats. A win-win for anybody with a nosebleed seat in any case, whatever they choose to do.
  9. I always heard that Popmart Raleigh had around 20,000 tickets sold at the time it was cancelled. There were other shows that had the same or even less, and they still went ahead. It wasn’t cancelled because of sales. However, it probably wasn’t rescheduled due to the poor sales. The screen was fucked up following a storm in DC. They certainly were under rehearsed, but they didn’t cancel Raleigh just to have more time to rehearse.

Back to the topic... Auckland 2 is just gonna be a Popmart like poorly attended show. They don’t seem to be slashing prices to try and move tickets. Imagine how poor sales would be if it weren’t JT, but some kind of IE/EI stadium hybrid tour. It’ll be interesting to see. I suspect it might light a fire under their asses and give them something to prove, as far as stepping up their performance. I watched/listened to the entire Popmart Jacksonville show on YouTube. 15,000 in the audience. They could have been pouty and mailed in a mediocre show, but they didn’t. They gave it their all, and even humorously addresses the small audience.
  10. I was at the extra show in Stockholm in 2015 that added because of the canceld show the same week.
Alot of people couldn't attend to the show which made the arena half full...
But the band was is great mode, had alot of energy and where happy also.
  11. I think it's important we provide some context here, particularly in the case of New Zealand. I think it's been mentioned here previously that Taylor Swift, in the height of her commercial success couldnt sell out a show in New Zealand at the same venue. The fact of the matter is kiwis barely attend anything in sell out numbers other than the all blacks. A lot of events here NEVER sell out and it's like the fans have dressed up as empty seats. Its remarkable that they have sold out 1 and a half shows in a country that has the population of most medium sized cities in a global context at AGE 60!!! If Taylor swift sells out 1 and a half shows at the same venue when shes 60 I'll eat my bus pass as me and her will be the same age then! Context people!!
