Tour: Joshua Tree Tour 2019
Songs played: 26
Audio recordings: 1
  1. Just in time for Streets!!!
  2. but up and down still
  3. I saw another post of someone complaining that they wanna see the performers as well on the massive screen. I've seen a lot of those in this tour and at first I was like oh fck off, but I think I'm starting to get the point. Sure, the idea of the tour is that you have beautiful imagery acompanying the music to really feel The Joshua Tree atmosphere, but for someone on the stands it must be a little weird that they're only seeing the band just for a few songs.
  4. Yeah, seen quite a few of those complaints on this tour and I do think they have a very valid point. The screen is incredible, but there's not a lot of band footage on there and it's not even used for the first 5 songs. Those sitting opposite the stage or standing far away have no chance of seeing the band and I imagine it's quite disengaging for them.

Apparently it is because of band age. They have also done that extensively in the past on previous tours.
  6. I think it's fine for arenas to not show much band footage, but for such stadium shows I can understand that someone might feel like they're not part of the show

Vertigo had such a perfect stage in that regard. Big video wall but still 4 separate screens with all band members at all times.
