  1. I didn't really see a thread about future speculation. It's safe to assume that there will be literally no U2 activity in 2020. Even without COVID, we were likely not going to get anything anyway. This is the first "off year" we've had since 2013, they've given us a lot recently.

    What do you people think is coming next?
    When will we get another album?
    What will the next tour be?

    I remember thinking "there's no way U2 will continue beyond 2020. They'll be 60 years old, 40 years since the release of Boy, seems like a natural time to hang it up." Now 2020 is here. It would be a good time to stop, I guess. They just wrapped up the SOI/JT17/SOE era that gave us a fruitful period from 2014-2019. I haven't really heard them say much about what's next. But they have expressed no interest in stopping. They seem to be at a natural starting point of something new and different.
