1. I wonder if they will come to their senses and scrap Grace off the album
  2. It will be part of the live concert instead, as outro music

  3. Probably the worst song on the album , but that's just my opinion. Always skip it.
  4. Listening to the 'live off the floor' BBC version will change your mind.
  5. i have to agree to find it very plodding if that makes sense
  6. I remember the first time I heard the Stuck in a moment chorus, I was blown away by that melody. 20 years later, I can barely listen to the song. Occasionally I don’t feel the urge to skip it, but I usually do. Hasn’t aged well.

The song itself was a pretty popular hit at the time, but it hasn’t left a lasting impression on the public in general. Same with “Walk On”, which became somewhat of a post 9/11 anthem, but faded away quickly.

Beautiful Day and Vertigo are really the only 2 songs from the 00’s that have stood the test of time, although that’s not entirely their fault. One could argue that One and Mysterious Ways are the only songs from their 90’snoutput that the average music listener remembers.

From the 90’s you definitely have to add even better then the really thing , hold me thrill me kiss me kill me and the sweetest thing to the songs your average music listener remembers

The fly maybe as well but probably not as much as those 5

Definitely agree on beautiful day and vertigo being the only two big hitters of the 2000’s . Wouldn’t say there’s been any from the 2010’s .

Shocking to think their last huge global hit that will always stand in their best of catalogue was 15 years ago

One day a "full on" greatest hits from this band will be released (yes, it might not be for a few decades but it'll happen) and I can't help but wonder what will make the cut from the last decade or two.

Afterthought: I'm assuming there is already a thread about this so please don't take this as me highjacking this thread.
  9. Dammit. I'd promised myself that I'd stop posting here until more news had been released!
  10. People always seem to leave out COBL when talking about there big hits in the 00’s. That’s a very well liked and known song that without a doubt would be on a best of or greatest hits album. It’s irrelevant after that because the charts have changed so much they were never going to have more big hits after the HTDAAB era. But even if you look at there 80’s work, 6 albums and there’s only a handful of songs that are in the same bracket in terms of popularity like the ones mentioned above. I will follow, New Year’s Day, Sunday Bloody Sunday, pride, bad, streets, wowy, ishfwilf, don’t know if there’s anything on R&H at that level that’s really well known and popular, maybe desire.
