1. I didn't say I like a lot of the tracks

Ah, you meant repetitivity within the same song? I didn't notice that but maybe, probably you're right.
  2. Not really impressed by the performers. Know they are not picked purely for their song performance abilities.

The songs are interesting to say the least, cant wait till U2 picks up some of these songs!
  3. I think you moderators should change the topic title
  4. There are lots of slow songs and the fast ones aren't that great
Besides BFFTS, which is just awesome, I only liked Pull The Trigger
  5. so bono and the edge are back in NY writing new songs for the musical?! did i read that correctly? it just seems that they have put more into this musical(that would reflect nothing on their recording or touring career by the way) just to make it not a flop, than they have on any album since Achtung baby. I can't believe there are supposedly 4 unreleased albums floating around the U2 world somewhere but they are working on a musical instead! Guys where are your priorities... and on that note, sure they are touring the world right now, and i haven't seen the 360 show since pasadena, but does it feel like they could do a lot more with their video board during the show? why not spend a day or 25 on that instead of the musical? And these four so called albums, they have to suck, right? Otherwise they would have released at least a few finished singles over the net...the 4 albums talk was a good ploy to keep everyone interested during the canceled shows last year, its just that all this talk and hype, with zero results so far, is starting to wear on me too, and i love this band!
  6. Are the songs good in the way Passenger songs are good, which is to say Larry would hate them?
  7. The songs aren't really as..."moody" as Passengers was. I'd say the majority of them sound like mainstream rock. But yeah, the music didn't really blow me away...only a few memorable/good ones. BFFTS, Rise Above, and Bouncing Off the Walls were great (especially when sung in context with the amazing scenery). I also found the song with Arachne to be quite interesting with a sort of Middle Eastern flair...kinda cool. But overall, I wasn't overly impressed with the music.

The show itself is really just a complete spectacle. If you're coming to see a show named "Spider-Man," you shouldn't expect a storyline that'll blow your mind. There's nothing revolutionary in that department. The special effects and backdrops are incredible and well worth it. In all, the criticism that it's received is far too harsh. I'd recommend it. If anything, it'll make you feel like a kid again
