  1. I think all of you agree that most of the songs by U2 are better live. But there are some exceptions, I think.
    These songs sounds better on CD in my opinion, musically and emotionally:


    Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own
    Miracle Drug
    Discotheque
    Do You Feel Loved
    If God Will Send His Angels
    If You Wear That Velvet Dress
    Zooropa
    Babyface
    The First Time
    Even Better Than the Real Thing
    Ultra Violet
    Hawkmoon 269
    Tomorrow

  2. For me Even Better Than The Real Thing is better live. Live it gets more energy, especially the Zoo TV version.

    Another song that I prefer in the studio version is With Or Without You. They made a lot of great live performances of that song, but I wouldn't change the album version with anyone of them!

With or Without You is very hard for me to decide about, the studio version is magic, absolutely stunning and I would never swap it with any live-version on my ipod but yet there are so many incredible live-performances of this song. The fine thing is that every tour has its own WoWY, different snippets, edge playing different guitars and so on. It's my favourite song if you haven't noticed yet
  5. I think Discotheque live is pretty good. As is the acoustic The First Time. Check out Real Thing on Popmart Live from Mexico City- it will blow your mind.

    I agree 100% I was just thinking the same thing. Discotheque is good either way POPMart was interesting and the New Mix on the best of 1990-2000 is also quite good and the First Time was incredible on the last tour when bono, edge, and the people are all singing LOVE

  8. well i like the live version of miami more than the album version .
    And that's also for me with new york !!!
    But i don't like the live version of sometimes you can make it on your on !!!
    it do's nothing with me when i heard this song live ....
    If i hear one or kite instead of sycmioyo it makes my whole body shakes !!!!!
    And they give goosbumps all over me ! the live and album verions
    The live version of gone is also much better than the album song....
    And i believe in every tour there is a couple of songs live way much better.!!
