village people [the video, edge is brilliant l.o.l.]

yeah big oasis fan. my old man took me to see them when i was 13 and it kind of changed my life. with all the trance-pop, boyband and choreography shit going on in music at that time it was refreshing to see a rock band that told it like it is, didnt bullshit people and just wrote great songs.
god knows what kind of music id be listening to now if it wasnt for oasis.
    they saved my musical soul.

My Oasis doesnt extend much beyond the first 2 albums (and Don't Go Away). I know they are great and all that but I just can't stand Liam. Noel is a legend but Liams a knob (and he cant sing at all). Saw them in Belfast last year and he was inaudible. There was a few songs I didnt kno the words to and I literally couldnt repeat a line from that song because his voice was soo bad

yeah i saw oasis in dublin on the same tour, but i was completely hammered at the gig and i didnt really notice his voice that much. but i downloaded the bootleg a few weeks later and it was appalling. his voice, sadly, is in tatters
wouldnt bother me in the slightest if noel sacked him and sung all the songs himself. i think he has a great voice

Don't know if Noel's voice is up to Front Man levels but he could definatley take over. Theres an acoustic version of Don't Go Away knocking about. Just Noel and an acoustic guitar. Its stunning.

Ive plenty of mates who are big Oasis fans and they somehow feel that they have the evidence to support an 'Oasis are better than U2' debate. Pisses me off like hell. Maybe in the mid to late 90's Oasis would have had the edge on U2 in Britain and maybe some parts of Europe but Oasis have played SUPPORT to U2. That kinda shuts them up for a bit

your right. on a global scale oasis cant touch u2, but to be honest u2 are a marketing machine and have done things to make them selves widely acceptable. oasis couldnt be arsed really about marketing and their public image, if they did they could have been huge , but thats just the way they are, and i love um for it. i really love oasis, but i just love u2 more.

All my respect for Oasis comes from Noels tolerance of Liam and the Bands 'dont give a f**k' attitude. Both admirable

i find them a nice foil to u2. you have the band who dont give a shit, and the band the do genuinely care [maybe even too much sometimes].
