1. *.google.com has timed out without failure on the three computers on my home (2 Apples, 1 Dell), on Safari, IE7, and Firefox for the past 7 days. By *.google.com I mean every Google function that I have tried: google.com search, Google Maps, GMail, and even returns on Yahoo.com that have a *.google.com extension on them.

iTunes Music Store has timed out without failure on all the above systems for the past seven days.

No other websites or online actions have failed or even seemed impaired to any extent.

Restarting the computer, releasing and renewing the IP address, unplugging and replugging our cable Internet connection do not repair the problem.

I searched on Yahoo.com and could find no known Google or iTMS errors.

Can anybody tell me what the FUCK is going on? Does anyone have an idea, cause to say I'm pissed off is an understatement.

I plan on calling Time Warner on Monday and grilling their asses to see what the hell is going on. Of course they'll go through their protocol and treat me like I'm an idiot who doesn't know how to use a computer, so I'm not exactly looking forward to this.

    Tried pinging Google.com?

Start > Run > Type Cmd > ping Google.com. If you get a response it should work.

Is it working yet? Other than that I got no idea - tried everything I would think. What error message do you get, is it just Connection timed out? This could be a setting within your modem - http://192.168.1.1 is your modem admin panel - see if anything has changed or your firewall is blocking it. You're on a Mac aren't you?

Also check the Mac's connection settings and see if Google is being timed out for some reason. What about the search function in Firefox - on the top-right hand side, select Google and search for something. You can access eBay, Yahoo, your ISP home page fine but not Google or related stuff? Weird.

Not good at all. Wish I knew a bit more about why.
