hehe...he could get a lot of good quotes from the quran...the only reference to islam that I've seen him make is in Miss Sarajevo, "Is there a time to turn to mecca" ... and I love how in vertigo tour he adds :"and be a beauty queen before God"
  2. Although I really know nothing at all about The Quran. I think it would be a good guess to say that in the essence of the message given by Bono when quoting the Bible would be much the same.

hehe...yep, the essence is the same...
  4. ok I have another suggestion. What if we turned to the way people would interpret a song. U2 songs sometimes convey different meanings to different people. Say if a person was to post a particular song and they say what they think was the message in that song. Anyone then could either say yep that's how I see it too or if not then give their interpretation of the song.
For it to work and show if there are differences in people's understanding of the song the same song should be left in the discussion for either a certain number of posts or until a certain amount of time has passed since the last post which would show that the discussion for that particular song had 'dried up'. Then the next person to post could name their song and so on. What do you think??

I like the idea...though it would have to be a new topic, U2 MoL Game or something like that..and there must be a better system for changing the song being discussed. Maybe it could be like the bootleg round table , U2 MoL Round Table where there are members and each time one of them posts and songs are discussed for a limited amount of time...maybe a couple of days.

The reason I like it is that song meanings are very important for me...but I'm not sure if enough people would be interested...
  6. That certainly sounds a better idea. I would have thought that many U2 listeners would be interested in the song meanings because that's what U2 are about. But as you say I don't know either. What if we put it to the vote? If it's agreed I would like to start the ball rolling with 'Vertigo'
  7. Great idea!

I say we leave the honors to Lady G...
  10. I would like to give it a go, but I am pretty new to all of this and I'm not really sure how the 'round Table' bit works.
