I can play all U2 songs on bass.I have a Fender Jazz and a Gibson Thunderbird with an Ashdown rig.U2's bass lines are very easy to play i usually have a complete album worked out after one listen,i also played in a U2 coverband before relocating.Adam uses a pick during the following songs from the Chicago dvd City of Blinding Lights,Vertigo,Electrico,New Years Day,Miracle Drug,Sunday Bloody Sunday,Bullet,Pride,Streets,Fly and All because Of You.When playing bass you use a pick generally for 2 reasons,to get a shorter sharper tone that pushes threw the mix a bit more and on faster tempo songs if you playing alot of notes you can pick alot faster than you can play with your fingures.If anyone wants to know any other songs for pick or fingers post it.Adam is using pick much more lately than on previous tours/albums.

    Yeah. I liked the first one but I like this one a lot better. I think I'm one of the few people on u2start with a Mirrorball Man avatar.
    I'll probably change it often 'cause I always seem to find a pic that I like better than my current one.

    actually, it really depends on the bassist the "pick is faster" thing.
  5. When your repeating eighth notes like Adam on streets,no ones gonna play that with fingers for 5minutes especially in a live situation when your playing for 2 hrs.Try playing Vertigo or Fly with fingers,you just wouldn't do it.

    4. Yes. Currently I can play Desire, and I'm learning New Year's Day(Trying to do guitar and keyboard like Edge-Very Hard), One, Sometimes, Sunday Bloody Sunday, The Fly, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For and When Love Comes To Town.

    My suggestion is that you get a good guitar book and a chord chart. Once I got those it was ten times easier. Seriously, stick with it. It's worth it. Just be patient.

  7. i'd love to be able to play the New Years Day keyboard part. Is it easy? Or COBL intro even. Whats the keyboard equivalent to guitar tabs?

    NYD is: A-A-D-E-C-D-B x2 then: C-B-B-B-C-D-E-D-C-C-B-C-A-D-B
