  3. Thanks, it is not too far from Rotterdam. In fact its between me and Remy's home town My hands were freezing, thats why the horizon is crooked but was glad anyway that i was able to get a reasonably sharp picture at 1/20 of a second. Thank god for image stabilisation.

    Still there is snow, but its so warm inside that I didnt bother to go out to make more photos

  6. Currently -18 Celsius and not going to get much warmer today. Would rather stay at home in bed than go out.

  8. 28 inches of snow here so far overnight, and it's not done yet. Driving has been banned on the roads...look like it's going to be a lovely day to curl up with hot chocolate, a book, and U2.

  11. let's dig out the weather topic because hallelujah spring is here for good!! How I know? Well it's 7°C and sunshine today but hey even better proof..... I was just in the bathroom thinking to myself what a rotten day this is, feeling under the weather literally.... and then I heard the calls.... the calls of..... the cranes!! The cranes are co,ing back today. You know I'm the kid living in the countryside and everyone who is in farming knows how to listen to nature... when in December the cranes leave, you know winter hits you only days later in full force. Oh the day when they return.... you know then that winter is over for good. It is the end o the grey cold days... and I just went outside and I saw them coming, flying over our house and property, hundreds and thousands of them...spring is here for good
