    2001-12-02 - Miami, Florida - American Airlines Arena
    but was hoping for a better recording than the audience recording that I have....I was excited when I saw that it was listed here as a soundboard, but when I downloaded it - it was the same audience recording I already have. Does anyone have the soundboard recording?

  2. the one on here is in fact a soundboard. Think its done through bono's in ear monitor. Correct, it is only worth 2 stars
  3. I've never heard of a soundboard recording having echo......a 'tin' vocal maybe(like the 2006-12-4 show) , but not echo...

    what about the 1993-8-12 at Wembly?

    Amen.

    By the way, the 4 Wembley nights are NOT Soundboards. They are simply Perfect Audience recordings (as Chicago 1987-04-29, which is neither a SBD)

    I coulda swore Chicago was a SBD. but it always had the feel of an audience recording and it's better off for it

    Agre from the begginnig tothe end of your post.
    When i heard for the first time it was an Audience recording, i thought "yes, and you've been smoking for a week"... but it's true, it's an audience one.
    And the same goes for the 4 Wembley'93 Nights...They're Audience, even sounding like soundboards!!

    The first 2 wembley shows must have had a bit of work done to them afterwards. The crowd sounds very very distant which made me think that either A) they are soundboards or B) they are audience that have been doctored a bit.

    That's right. They were remastered a few years ago, resulting the new bootlegs "Wembley Nights Volumes 1 & 2.. / ..3 & 4".
    A completely new boot, with a almost perfect sound...

    Very similar is the history of Denver 1987-11-07. From a Very Good Audience recording to an almost-Sounboard one...

    You're contradicting yourself here.

    A boot can be a soundboard recording or an earpiece recording. Never be a soundboard recorded through an IEM.
    And Miami is a top notch recording of Bono's IEM (if you like these).

    Don't know what (crappy) version was uploaded here...

    The Denver 87 recording is a soundboard 100%. It comes from a pro shot of the same done by the Sony film crew.

    This forum is unbelievable with the misinformation and or false rumor/theories that gets posted sometimes.

    This thread is very contradictory also. I like X audience recording, thought it was a soundboard. So if you thought it was a good recording and was possibly a soundboard, doesnt that meant that you think most soundboards sound good? Hypocrisy at its best!
