    i didn't read it on U2byU2...i do not remember where...
    Anyway he was there with his son Eli and a friend of his and they got lost through Venice's "vicoli"(in english should be something like "little streets")

    Val Kilmer,at the end of Elevation (I think) after going into the audience Bono sort of puts his arm around him and snippets "...come on baby light my fire!" in reference to him playing Jim Morrison in the movie about The Doors.
