    yep, certainly a hoax.
It's like the Nirvana/Radiohead/Sublime cover of Sunday bloody Sunday. All tagged as cover versions when it's actually Edge in Sarajevo.

bono is singing and i think it's an orchestra playing maybe with the rest of the band or maybe just with the edge on the guitar. i don't have the date or location of this preofrmence, any way it's a pretty good one!

    Belfast Child

    Simple Minds
Album: Street Fighting Years Released: 1989
    UK Chart: 1

    Songfacts:
This is based on a traditional song called "She Moved Through The Fair."
This runs 6:39. At the time, it was the second-longest UK #1, after The Beatles "Hey Jude ."
The B-side of the single was "Mandela Day," which was written for Nelson Mandela's 70th birthday concert on June 11, 1988.
This was Simple Minds' first and so far only UK #1.
Jim Kerr recalled In 1000 UK #1 Hits by Jon Kutner and Spencer Leigh, "I first heard the melody (of She Moved Through The Fair) a few days after the Enniskillen bombing and like everybody when you see the images I was sick. In the second part of the song, I'm trying to relate to people in Northern Ireland who lost loved ones. I'm trying to talk about the madness, the sadness and the emptiness. I'm not saying I have any pearls of wisdom, but I have a few questions to ask." The Enniskillen bombing Jim Kerr is referring to was in 1987 when a bomb planted by the IRA exploded during a Remembrance Day service at Enniskillen in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, killing 11 people and injuring at least 63. (thanks, Edward Pearce - Ashford, Kent, England, for all above)

If you have it by U2,can you upload it,I'm very curious about this.......

I'd be willing to bet 100 of my bootleg DVDs that it's not Bono.
If you wanna hear Bono on a Simple Minds track try New Gold Dream from Glasgow 1985.

    BTT:

Manic Street Preachers - Ocean Spray
