Not all of us can be born in the 80's you know (and barely at that.... )

I blame you lot entirely for my late nights and bags under my eyes....

Anyway, I'm listening to LIB again now.

And Nightswimming is a great song

The 80s was the best decennium of the 20th century...for several reasons:

    - U2's breaktrough
    - The best movies(almost..)
    - Great bands and music
    - My generation was born at that period
    - And Remy was born in that era...otherwise I wouldn't write this.

Indeed. The same here. I still don't get the point on that version. Moreover, it lacks of much audience sound - therefore it cannot be great at all.
  5. Deacon Blue - Dignity
  6. 11 O'Clock Tick Tock (Live at Paradise Theatre, Boston, March 6, 1981)

the whole concert, bought The Complete U2 on itunes!
its good to have all there hits and songs on my computer.

    later!

Really? I know you're a 26/12/89 fan. I will give you that the beginning of the song is ordinary. But Edge's guitar work at the end is sublime. And the inflection in Bono's voice makes it for me.

I love the one's that have Shine Like Stars and WOWY but they mainly seem to be poor audio quality.

    Anyway, BTT:-

Well, the song itself isn't that awesome. Just a good performance..nothing else, but I love Edge here. That solo at the end is sublime. Let's say WOWY from 12-26 is the best and Shine Like Stars from Washington'92 is the best. Considering the track only, not the audience/concert and other influences.

    And to stay on-topic:

Edges solo just sounds the exact same as it did on any 1992 show. It is very good but not stunning. See 1987-06-28 - Dublin, it's as epic as Paris with a crazy cracking snippet of a song thats unknown to me I don't have many favorite WOWY's but the Dublin show mentioned and the 26th are both well up there as is1993-04-23 - Vancouver with the God Part ll snippet.

BTT : Absolutely falling in love with Deacon Blue

Ah well, we'll leave it there. I'm downloading that Croke show though, will give it a listen.

    BTT:-
