1. Bugger all wrong with Pixar - Toy Story 3 is due in the next couple of years and I'm looking forward to that. Toy Story 2, masterpiece, genre/format be damned...
  2. Fool's Gold (with my wife...)

    Avoid.

  3. Read the script years ago and thought it could be good....but seeing the trailer was enough for me. No thank you.
  4. Good Bye Lenin! and My Best Friend's Wedding
  5. Must be The Last Train, also known as Der Letzte Zug, movie with a duration of 2 hours of which 90% plays within a train, the train with the last Jews from Berlin to Auswitz during World War II. Very impressing, took me a few days to really recover from it.

I'm a fan of World War II movies, after seeing a lot of them I still can't believe anything like that ever happened. That's what's attracting me to these movies I guess.

  6. Saw that one too, not that good, but some nice beach babes made up for that Plus the inclusion of Donald Sutherland, which always is a good thing. Though he shouldn't appear in this kind of movies.

  7. I've got to watch Goodbye, Lenin soon for Uni. Any good? And My Best Friend's Wedding has that wonderful bit with the helium harmony and the restaurant scene - can't hate a film with those two scenes in it...

Goodbye Lenin is excellent IMO, a great watch
Oh, the restaurant scene is my favorite

  9. Sounds good, going to watch it next time
  10. I watched The Day The Earth Stood Still this morning. It was okay, and very much of its time. I think that a remake is definitely doable and the current political climate makes the notion reasonable, even though die hard fans have made their objections known. The main problem with the remake will be that they don't have an actor in the lead role - they have Keanu Reeves instead.
  11. Reign Over Me, and Promises, a documentary about children from Palestine and Israel knowing each other and becoming friends.
