how come you're not at school?!

Dude, it's the most depressing feel-good movie ever I was seriously crying at the end Even though it was a happy ending. And every time I look at Frieda Pinto, my self-esteem shoots down And that Maman guy creeped me out
Oh, and I have the week off for Spring Break
What is so terrible about Linear?I haven't seen it yet, so please, inform me!!

  2. some of the video's don't go well with the songs

You'll like it. It's about watching a man driving a motocycle all the time. Sometimes he takes off his shirt...

  4. So is it just like a bunch of music video styled things with a plot?

What? Are you trying to say I like men with motorcycles and no shirts??

  5. So it's like a reeeeeeaaally shitty Across the Universe?
    You know me too well

  6. haven't seen that one, but I can honestly tell you that watching Linear is a waste of time

    Across the Universe is amazing
I love musicals, I love The Beatles, I love stoner movies, so when Across the Universe combined all three, I was a very happy lady. Bono's cameo was nice too
Trust me buddy, no rushing on my part

QOS is okay, to much like a Bourne movie though. Casino Royale is fantastic though (Plus Daniel Craig is hot )
Dark Knight is amazing, I think it should have at least been nominated for Best Picture instead of Benjamen Button So glad they replaced Katie Holmes with Maggie Gyllenhaal, much better actress.

Completely agree re. QoS, I think both the new Bond films are trying too hard to be like the Bourne films. Paul Greengrass did a fine job with Robert Ludlum's trilogy but as with everything that works out well, people try to copy the formula. Good films, but not that great. And Dark Knight was very impressive although I wasn't prepared for how dark it really was, i.e. everyone dying, lots of nasty shit doing the rounds...
  9. Talking about the Bourne's....I still need to watch them all again soon. Was planning to do so several weeks ago...

I'm glad Bond has changed though. The Bonds with Pierce Brosnan were quite idiotic. With that rocket-lauching Aston Martin...

Doug Liman is almost always forgotten when it comes to the Bourne films (it may not be a trilogy for much longer...). While Greengrass did an amazing job, Liman started the whole thing off with Identity. For better or worse, the camera style used in the latter two films has influenced the shooting style of action films since. It may be the most influential technique/gimmick for the next few years. You can't even watch a TV documentary without the camera moving about, zooming arbitrarily for no reason and all manner of stylistic bollocks. Greengrass used the style to reflect his lead character's state of mind. Most other directors - without a bloody clue, it seems - mimic the style without realising what they ought to be using it for - it has become a directorial tic that more often than not serves no purpose.

Anyway, love Bourne and Daniel Craig can say they didn't influence Bond all he likes. They did and he knows it. We all do...
