1. The Italian Job (2003 remake)

    great film.
  2. I've been denying myself my quota of multi-quotes in recent months...time to put and end to that

I thought T3 was ok, although Salvation was definitely better. Still won't say I completely got it but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I'd draw parallels with the Indy films - the latest one ranks third out of the 4 main films for me.

Ha, you're not Mark Kermode are you? I can't be arsed to go and see it, the whole premise is lost on me.

    In Dan's eloquent words...

Shall we say she has a hell of a lot going for her

Happy to say I wanna see that lol.

Ooooh, heard of that a while ago, another one on my list of films to find and watch

Last film I watched, for the record, was the Peter Jackson remake of King Kong - not the first time I've seen it, just to clarify, but nonetheless it's an enjoyable watch. A monster of a movie but not really much else. Certainly makes you think though about human nature though.
  3. No Country for old men
  4. American History X

    brilliant.
  5. In Bruges - there's just something about Irish people saying "cunt."

  6. lol. I loved farrell's accent, though I thought the movie was more depressing than funny (like it was suggested in the trailers, back then).
  7. i saw Transformers - Revenge of the Fallen last night. It was pretty fun
  8. Minority Report.

    sort of funny...
  9. Not sure if I mentioned it before but Lonely Hearts - John Travolta, Jared Leto, James Gandolfini and Salma Hayek, very good film.

Gran Torino - excellent film, strongly recommend it. Very raw and very powerful, Clint Eastwood can still pull the punches

Push - enjoyable, bit confusing, interesting. Not groundbreaking, but fun.

Oh yeah, and I tried to watch Punisher: Warzone yesterday - will try to have to sit through it again all the way through eventually. If anyone saw the 2004 film The Punisher with Thomas Jane, that is (in my opinion) so much better, because it really captures the character of Frank Castle and focuses on the pain and torment he went through and is a film I rate. Warzone is a reboot and tries to rework it (it's actually made in conjunction with Marvel as I understand it) and tries to follow in the footsteps of Watchmen but whereas I actually enjoyed Watchmen, Warzone feels like it's trying to be realistic whilst at the same time a movie comicstrip and just doesn't work. Watchmen was, admittedly, very violent but I could accept it because it made no bones about being a big bombastic straight from the comic-book translation. Warzone just seems a nasty film without any substance. Watchmen actually made you think (although granted, it could be a bit mindboggling at times)...
  10. full metal jacket
