Is Blu-Ray that good? I never saw a movie on it (just played a friend's PS3 a few times but didn't notica a major differernce).

Blu Ray is that good. Does your friend have a good TV? And does he connect his ps3 to the tv via a HDMI cable?

Video runs at up to 40mb/s so you can get an idea of the quality just by seeing those data rates

54 inches and HDMI connection, indeed. Call Of Duty looks insane on that TV

I know the tech specifications, but I just didn't notice a significative difference. Maybe I'm just dull, or maybe it's just because I've just played videogames and not seen an actual movie or the normal tv itself.

Is the normal image//bluray difference similar to the mp3//flac ?

What blu ray did you watch?

On a good transfer the differences are like going from a wind up radio in a basement to FLAC.

To really appreciate blu ray though, you have to put the standard def version on after. Blu ray looks 'normal to me now' and everything else looks like shit

That's what I don't want to happen to me. I don't want to get rid of tons of VHSs and DVDs, and I don't want them to look like shit when I see them. Converting is expensive too. I think I'll wait until the market is settled again and the prices get lower, I don't feel the need of buying a blu-ray player (plus a brand newe HDMI TV) just to enjoy a 15-days-difference...

each new blu ray blows you away. Its reverting back to standard def tv thats the bastard. Blu-ray prices aren't too bad if you look about. I am only buying them when they go on sale. Only bought The Dark Knight on release. Don't rush out to buy a TV t3hough if you don't need one and if you do decide to get a blu ray player, get the ps3.

God knows how long the blu ray replacement will take
  6. Once Upon A time in The West. If You haven't seen it, I highly recomend. It. It has the best instrumental soundtrack I've ever heard.

  9. Armageddon.
    Kinda funny i thought
  10. Zoolander
one of my funniest movies of all time
also one of my favorite movies of all time
  11. hoodlum

could've been a so much better movie if the script/camera/director hadn't fucked up every now and then.
  12. Last night I watched ''Looking for Eric''. Its about a guy having a mid life crisis who becomes guided through his troubles by Man Utd legend Eric Cantona. Its a fantastic movie, if you love football, you should have no problem liking this movie. Had me laughing and on the verge of tears.

    Long live the King!!
