    +1
Loved that movie, it's so deep, and gives a better understanding of Hitler's character. Amazing acting by Bruno Ganz, terrific and touching movie, and it actually made me respect the Nazi leaders for the way they believed in their beliefs. I hate their beliefs, but this makes you see that it really was their belief, not just an excuse.

BTW, I recommend watching Valkyrie as well, another great move. Not as good as Downfall, but really interesting story. What interested me in that movie was the (scary) similarities between the Nazi oath to serve Hitler and what the troops and government members here have, the oath for the supreme leader.
  2. Went to see Avatar in 3d last night and I have to say I was blown away by it. It really is a stunning movie.
  3. 500 Days of Summer. One of the best movies I have seen in a long time.
  4. Lesbian Vampire Killers (J/K)
  5. Who Am I and The Tuxedo.

2 high quality (:P) Jackie Chan affairs. Wonderful.

  6. Just watched it last night - pretty cool movie indeed. Amazing soundcheck in the deleted scenes of the DVD. Jack White is the bluesman, Jimmy Page is the rocker, The Edge is the zen innovator. What a smart and modest man.
  7. Gran Torino

Great Eastwood, movie itself could be better.
  8. The Book of Eli.

    Sucks balls.

  10. James Cameron always seems to amaze me. Terminator, Titanic (haven't seen Avatar yet, though).
His movies always cost a fortune (speaking of Haiti ), but they always bring back a tenfold of the amount his movies cost.

    Hear, hear.

  11. Oh, yeah. Jesus, yeah, especially in 3D. It's just Cameron's no great shakes as a story teller, at least as far as plot, dialogue and characterisation are concerned (look at Jack and Rose in Titanic). Where he excels, however, is in delivering action and new film making techniques. And Avatar delivers (when not overdoing the mushy gubbins) in this respect, and delivers in spades.
