Oh, yeah. Jesus, yeah, especially in 3D. It's just Cameron's no great shakes as a story teller, at least as far as plot, dialogue and characterisation are concerned (look at Jack and Rose in Titanic). Where he excels, however, is in delivering action and new film making techniques. And Avatar delivers (when not overdoing the mushy gubbins) in this respect, and delivers in spades.

thanks to your input, I've just come back from watching it great experience in 3D, and the story was okay, too. The effects were amazing. Good movie, enjoyed it
  2. Anyone know a good, recent (past 10 years) thriller? Willing to see one tonight..
  3. I've just seen A Prophet - a bit long, but very good.
  4. The Matrix on Blu-ray. Oh, my

  5. Thanks for the tips lol

It will be Law Abiding Citizen tonight
  6. Seen The Road the other night. A gem of a movie. Fucking class.

  7. I'm not into thrillers, sorry, LOL so I couldn't give you any tip in that direction

watched The English Patient again last night, for the xth time..... sigh so beautiful (and yes, that was a girly comment, I know )
  8. Land Of The Lost

a great B movie parody, the Cher scene is priceless.
  9. Helllo ! No Country for Old Man .
    Super Action Movie.

  10. Jackie was my favorite actor when I was a bit younger (Now it's Johnny Depp) I don't really like Tuxedo. I watched both and think Who Am I much more better, Jackie looks more natural and of course he's the director of that one. BTW he's a great singer too I just recommend you to listen to Endless Love from Myth movie. It's fantastic song!!! (not very good film though)

What about me... I recently watched Sherloc Holmes. Robert Downey Jr. is cute, he is smart, he's crazy and he's fast. The endless action - that's what I like about him.
But our version of that movie is still the best and it's a fact

No problem! Law Abiding Citizen was very good though
  12. Watched the Ricky Gervais comedy "The Invention of Lying" the other night, and have very mixed feelings about it even still. It was a great movie, sort of like the complete opposite of Liar Liar, and had some really redeeming qualities about the nature of mankind to simply lie whenever prompted with a question. The thing I didnt like about the movie was that, not only did the characters always tell the truth, which is what I understood about the plot- they also were over-the-top outgoing about sharing it. They spit things out at inappropriate times, and although they were always the truth, no one would ever open their mouth at a time like that. Just because you can't lie doesn't mean you always have to say what's on your mind.

So yeah, it was a really funny movie- though the whole premise would get dull and repetitive, but it was so damn silly and yet smart at the same time, I was entertained throughout. Would reccomend it for an evening in. 4/5
